What three words describe Workman?

Trustworthy, inclusive, supportive.

What has been your standout moment at Workman so far?

Being called into see David Workman to be promoted to a Senior Surveyor in 2014. I can still remember our conversation clearly now.

Tell us about a time you’ve put your skills to their best use on a Workman project?

My proudest achievement has to be my ongoing involvement in the management of Republic, working with Trilogy and LaSalle. It is so rewarding to watch the campus evolve and develop, knowing that my role as managing agent has an integral part to play in the place it is today.

What change would you make to a single aspect of the wider property sector and why?

Making building systems open protocol. This would level out the playing field and increase choice for the property industry exponentially when tendering maintenance contracts, upgrading technology and selecting new products.

What are your spare time pursuits and how do they feed into your role at Workman?

To name a few(!): horse riding / eventing, cycling, swimming, running, triathlon, hiking, watching live music and languages. I think the volume of hobbies I have reflects my role at Workman well; a lot of variety, having to be highly organised and requiring endurance.

What is your favourite building worldwide, and why?

The Sydney Opera House. It is such an iconic building and having had the pleasure of going to see a live ballet performance there, it is hard to top.

What first led you into the property industry?

To be honest, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do long-term when I started in the property industry! But here I am almost 10 years on and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

What three dinner party guests would you choose and why? OR What book or podcast do you recommend?

Bear Grylls, for his sense of adventure and stories, comedian Rhod Gilbert for the laughter and Zara Tindall; a combination of eventing (horse riding) and royalty, two things I am passionate about.
