What three words describe Workman?
Sociable, Fun, Motivating
What has been your standout moment at Workman so far?
After being at Workman for more than 10 years, it is hard to pick just one. Perhaps starting in the company as an office junior and ending up in the role I am now is probably an overall standout achievement for me. The Christmas events in London are a very close second!
Tell us about a time you’ve put your skills to their best use on a Workman project?
Along with a few colleagues took part in an external project to help complete and finalise historic budgets and reconciliations. What was supposed to be a three-month project, turned into a one-year project and I believe that without the wide range of skills and expertise brought by my colleagues and I, we would still be working on it now.
What change would you make to a single aspect of the property sector and why?
Shorter and more simplified leases – to make life easier, of course.
What are your spare time pursuits and how do they feed into your role at Workman?
I love socialising with my friends over a bottle of wine or cocktails – which fits so nicely in my role in the Glasgow Office as we are all outgoing people.
What is your favourite building worldwide and why?
The Eiffel Tower because it is situated in Paris, the city of love and so pretty at night when illuminated.
What first led you into the property industry?
It was sheer luck that I ended up working in the property industry. I enjoy working in this field as each day is never the same, so it never gets dull.
What three dinner party guests would you choose and why?
- Gordon Ramsay: He could cook the meal and we would not be disappointed, plus his presence at the table would be entertaining.
- Kim Kardashian: I’m hooked on the Kardashians and with the series now ended, I need to know what’s going on in that family.
- Lewis Capaldi: A hilarious fellow Scot, enough said.
