Workman has been appointed by NewRiver REIT, a leading retail real estate investment trust specialising in owning and managing retail assets across the UK, to undertake property management services across three additional community shopping centres, as reported by Property Week.
The instructions add to the existing NewRiver REIT portfolio of shopping centres and retail parks already under Workman management, with the schemes including more than 1m sq. ft of retail space in Wood Green, Ilford, and Walthamstow.
The appointment follows NewRiver’s acquisition of Capital & Regional plc in December 2024, incorporating the company’s assets into the NewRiver portfolio.
The schemes, all located in Greater London suburban communities, add to the existing NewRiver portfolio of shopping centres and retail parks already under management.
The firm began to deliver property management services from mid-February at all three new appointments (pictured below), which include:
- The Mall, Wood Green: a vibrant 540,000 sq. ft shopping centre in the heart of Wood Green’s town centre.
- The Exchange Centre, Ilford: well-connected to transport links, the centre contains three trading levels, with 77 units providing 300,000 sq. ft of retail space.
- 17&Central, Walthamstow: a 260,000 sq. ft community shopping centre featuring popular high-street occupiers.
