Life at Workman: Chris Worsnop, Associate Data Analyst

3rd June 2026

Data has always been at the heart of how Workman operates. But with over 20 years of data generated across our systems, the opportunity to make it work harder – and smarter – has never been greater.

Our data analytics team exists to do exactly that. Led by Chris Worsnop, the team works across the business to improve how data is used, reduce manual processes, and give our people the tools and insight they need to make better decisions. From dashboards that streamline laborious tasks, to live reporting that puts the right information in the right hands, the team is quietly transforming how Workman runs.

Meet Chris Worsnop, Associate Data Analyst

How would you describe what you do to someone outside the property industry?

It’s essentially harnessing our data to help understand how the business is operating. Areas where the business is doing well and can continue to improve, and areas where maybe it’s not performing as well as it could be. And through that, helping to uncover areas that can be focused on to then improve the overall business operation.

What drew you to data in the first place?

The storytelling aspect of it. The raw data by itself doesn’t really tell you much, but it’s what you can do with it. It’s the ideas that you can take from it, the stories you can uncover. Reading into the data and presenting what it tells us is always something that I’ve really enjoyed.

What does a typical day look like?

A big part of what we’re trying to do is to uncover efficiencies in the way that teams and the business are using data. So, a big part of that is getting out and speaking to people, understanding what works, what doesn’t, and how we can improve things. A lot of the day is also spent looking at where we can take these problems and turn them into solutions.

What's the best thing about the team you work with?

It’s just the range of experience. We’ve got some strong backgrounds across everyone in the team, and it’s interesting to see how people approach different problems and what you can learn from that. Everyone’s also nice and social – we’re all in this together.

What's the achievement you're most proud of so far?

The automation of our IBOS energy reporting. This was a process that typically took half a day to a day to produce per property. We looked at the process and streamlined it down to minutes. I think it helped to improve the team’s value-add capability – reducing the time they were spending on the less exciting reporting side of things and allowing them to focus on the value of their roles. It also meant the team could scale more effectively and take on more work without impacting the service as a whole.

What made you want to join Workman?

It was a very exciting time in terms of the changes that were occurring in the business and this real interest and drive to modernise. It’s obviously been a well-established company, operating for over 40 years. So, this new stage of modernisation really attracted me.

And what surprised you when you got here?

The accessibility of everyone. From senior leadership to more junior levels, everyone’s engaged and open. And the focus the company has on people – I’ve really enjoyed that aspect of it.

Finally, what do you do outside of work?

I’m training for the JLL Triathlon at the end of June and jumping on the marathon bandwagon as well. Looking to focus on getting the fitness and running up again.
