As reported by The Herald, Diarmuid Donohoe has been appointed General Manager of Silverburn, Glasgow’s flagship retail and leisure destination, managed by Workman. He takes on the role as long-standing centre director David Pierotti retires after a career of more than 40 years in the retail sector.
Diarmuid, who joined Silverburn 12 years ago during its £20m leisure extension, steps up from Deputy General Manager. He takes on the role at a time of real momentum for the centre, which welcomed 16.5 million guests in 2025 – its busiest year on record – and is set to welcome a wave of new retailers this year, including the first Scottish outlet for beauty brand Sephora.
Meanwhile Clare Livingston has been promoted to Deputy General Manager, while continuing to lead Silverburn’s marketing and placemaking strategy. Clare has been instrumental in building the centre’s profile and its connections with the wider Glasgow community.
“Silverburn is in a fantastic position, with record footfall, exciting brands joining the line-up and an outstanding centre management team. Having joined Silverburn 12 years ago, I have played an integral role in its growth and evolution, and look forward to shaping its next phase of growth.”
