As reported by Property Week, Workman has appointed Roger Stanton as Technical Director and Edd Barber as Senior Associate within its Building Consultancy team, both based in London. The appointments reflect continued client demand for specialist technical expertise across complex commercial instructions.

Roger joins from TFT, where he spent 12 years, most recently as Senior Associate. Before that, he was at Watts Group, working across a broad range of commercial building surveying instructions including pre-acquisition surveys, defect analysis, contract administration, and dilapidations. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Façade Engineering from the University of the West of England, and brings particular expertise in building envelope performance, defect diagnosis, and building safety compliance. His technical depth will be of direct value to clients managing increasingly complex regulatory and building safety obligations.

Edd brings over ten years of experience at JLL, where he progressed to Associate Director within the building consultancy team. He has worked across a wide range of instructions for major institutional clients, including ESG-driven refurbishment schemes, dilapidations, technical advisory work, and defect analysis across industrial, retail, and central London assets. Edd retrained as a building surveyor through an MSc conversion course, having previously worked in contractor-side roles. That practical background informs the way he approaches project delivery – with a clear understanding of how buildings are constructed, as well as how they are managed.
