We’re actively engaged with the RICS Fire Advisory Group, keeping ahead of industry updates and legislative changes. Recent shifts include the withdrawal of BS 476 fire testing standards in favour of the more comprehensive BS EN 13501 European classification system, and updates to BS 9991:2024, which sets fire safety requirements for residential buildings. More change is anticipated following the Government’s response to the Grenfell Phase II report in February 2025.
